BIOGRAPHY

Kule T, Singer-Songwriter, Recording Artist & lead singer of the 90s No 1 R&B group MN8 from South London UK

For British R&B-Soul singer-songwriter, Kule T, music has been at the centre of his life for as long as he can remember. Blending together a kaleidoscope of genres, such as R&B, Pop, Neo-Soul and Dance, Kule T has created his own hybrid sound. Drawing comparisons to D’Angelo and Luther Vandross, and taking inspiration from Bruno Mars and John Legend, Kule T’s storytelling comes from honest and personal experiences. Raised on Jazz, Soul, Reggae, Gospel and Classical music, Kule T’s first musical experiences came through the church, where he cultivated his craft as a drummer, guitarist and bassist. The magic of songwriting piqued his interest as a teenager and he soon joined the a cappella group, Spirit. Sadly, the passing of two band members meant the remaining group went their separate ways. This mournful ending, however, paved the beginning of something new for Kule T. In the 1990’s Kule T became the lead singer for MN8, an UK R&B pop group who saw success with their hit single ‘I’ve Got A Little Something For You,’ announcing the release of their debut album ‘To The Next Level.’ Signed to Sony/Columbia, the single reached number 2 in the UK Singles Charts, taking the number 1 spot on the UK R&B Charts. Further releases saw them reach worldwide success, receiving an other two more number 1 in the UK R&B charts, a Gold Album Award in France and his first single in the Bad Boy movie soundtrack. Kule T’s stage presence was elevated through touring with the likes of Janet Jackson, Robbie Williams, Boyzone, Spice Girls, Madonna, Celine Dion and Backstreet Boys. Following the success of his singing career, the band parted, and Kule T took time to focus on raising a family of his own, but music was never far away. While concentrating on his solo path, his highlights have included hosting and performing on Top of the Pops, featuring on BBC Radio 2’s ‘Sound Of The 90s’ with Fearne Cotton, BBC Radio London’s ‘The Scene’ with Jaqueline Shepherd, featuring on Happiful Magazine, appearing on Never Mind The Buzzcocks and appearing on Sky TV's Trace Vault 'My Career In Music'. With a following of 40,000 fans on Instagram and growing, Kule T has been able to connect with his fans through social media and red carpet events sharing his life in public and behind-the- scenes, giving them access to his latest creations. Over time he has developed his production skills, taking his songwriting and storytelling to the next level.
